THE LEBED METHOD,
CREATIVE RHYTHMS FOR CHILDREN WITH
CANCER AND
LYMPHEDEMA
By Sherry Lebed Davis with Dr. Marc Lebed

Children are often forgotten when they are ill from surgery and treatment of Cancer as to exercising that will help them retain muscle mass, move their lymphatic fluid, help with circulation, fatigue and depression and create laughter and fun.
Now, help has arrived in an uplifting, empowering exercise and movement program for children, with a rejuvenating regimen of stretches and dance moves, Lymphatic opening exercises for mind-body, fun music, costumes and props that help create not only a physical well being but an emotional one as well.

For the past twenty five years, Sherry Lebed Davis has continuously developed "The Lebed Method, and Focus on Healing through Movement and Dance for Breast Cancer Survivors and those with Lymphedema. Deeply concerned about children with Cancer and Lymphedema, Dr. Marc Lebed and Sherry Lebed Davis developed a similar program with all the physical and emotional success from the original program for Adults, only made changes to fit the needs of children, but to accomplish the same successful outcome.

The simple regimen found within "The Lebed Method, Creative Rhythms" is tailored to relieve pain, restore flexibility, reduce swelling from Lymphedema, combat fatigue, aid in emotional recovery, and develop balance.

As Davis writes, "Music and dance offer an experience of freedom, grace, and happiness. I believe that when we move we feel most alive, our hearts soar, and we reclaim ourselves. You're more than a survivor-you are a thriver! This is true with our children as well."
